Gillian and Jonathan are the founders of Sunny In Denbigh, a Premium Natural Hair and Skincare Brand. Before starting the business in 2019, Gillian was a college counselor and professor, teaching Business & Management for 17 years. She now uses her love for teaching to help business owners grow and scale their brands. Jonathan, her husband, was a Financial Administrator for the Federal Government for 13 years. His expertise includes Budgeting, Payroll & Finance for multi million dollar government agencies. Jonathan now runs the day to day financials of Sunny In Denbigh.
Like many home businesses, it was born out of a product that Gillian had been making for 7 years prior in her kitchen for their family. They then started selling hair & skincare products to friends, and family and the business quickly grew by referrals and word of mouth.
The business really started to take off when they used educational and tutorial videos of their amazing hair and skin care products on social media.
In 3 years, they were able to 10x their income. The business grew from purely home-based to operating out of a warehouse, with overheads, staff, and more!
